'Giving the past a Future'

Volunteers of the Burra Burra Branch of the NTSA are involved with a range of projects which aim to ensure a future for Burra’s rich heritage. 

The Branch’s vision is:

‘The lives of present and future generations will be enriched by the conservation of Burra’s mining, agricultural, cultural and natural heritage’.

The Branch:

  • Operates four Museums which are open daily;

  • Manages and maintains 17 sites throughout the township and the signage along the Heritage Passport Trail – Route 16;

  • Has an extensive collection of artefacts.

Current Projects

Collections management following National Library of Australia grant surveys.

Kotz Cottage stabilisation – additional funding is being sought.
